The order for appointment given to the Polling Personnel initially is preliminary order which does not indicate the GHADC Constituency/ Polling Station where the polling personnel will be deputed for election duty.
On the 9th of February, 2004, the final order shall be issued to the polling personnel indicating the polling station and the constituency and the date, time and venue for collection of materials.
The final appointment order also includes the maximum admissible honorarium that can be drawn by a polling personnel. It is calculated on the following basis:
A fixed basic honorarium is paid as per the following scale :
Rs. 300 for Presiding Officers.
Rs. 250 for 1st Polling Officers.
Rs. 200 for 2nd & 3rd Polling Officers.
A kilometer allowance of the distance traveled from Tura HQ to the concerned polling station.
Rs. 1.50 per Km for Presiding
Officers
Rs. 1.00 per Km for 1st Polling Officers.
Rs. .05 per Km for 2nd & 3rd Polling Officers.
A Walking allowance if the polling station is not accessible by vehicle is paid Rs. 10/- per kilometer to all category of polling personnel.
A training allowance for attending the two training session on the 30th of January and the 9th of February, 2004 at the District Auditorium, Tura is payable at the following scale.
Rs. 150 for Presiding Officers.
Rs. 100 for 1st Polling Officers.
Rs. 50 for 2nd & 3rd Polling Officers.
A fixed basic honorarium is paid for Reserve polling Personnel.
Rs. 150 for Presiding Officers.
Rs. 100 for 1st Polling Officers.
Rs. 50 for 2nd & 3rd Polling Officers.
The final order should be collected by submitting the preliminary order to the issue table of the concerned constituency at the District Auditorium on the 9th February, 2004 i.e. on the final training day.
